The Royal Celebration includes music from film, shows and popular classical pieces, with themes from The King and I, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and Dancing Queen by Abba. There’s plenty for all the family to enjoy. Our musical journey will take us to the land of the Arabian Nights with music about the Young Prince and Princess from Scheherezade, we’ll travel to a Whole New World with Princess Jasmine from Aladdin, to a galaxy far, far away with Princess Leia from Star Wars, via gaming adventures with The Legend of Zelda, ending up in Sherwood Forest with Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. We have Crown Imperial, written by William Walton for a coronation, and for a classical favourite Borodin’s Prince Igor: Polovtsian Dances. Join us for an evening at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham, starting at 6pm.
